COORDINATION OF ELEMENTARY SUMMER SCHOOL WITH LEAP REMEDIATION: Any student in Grade 4 or 8 who scored below the passing level on either the Language Arts or Math portion of the LEAP test AND received a grade of “F” in the same subject area on the report card could attend the LEAP Summer Remediation and Regular Summer School.

The student would need to:

Math Remediation will coordinate with Summer School Math.

Language Arts Remediation will coordinate with Elementary Summer School Reading or Language Arts.

  • Attend LEAP Summer Remediation program at the assigned site, transferring to Elementary Summer School campus (Clearwood Jr. High or Mandeville Middle) following required testing. Credit and grades will carry over from LEAP Summer Remediation program to Regular Summer School program.

Parents of students who need to coordinate the two programs should discuss their child’s options with the school principal prior to making a decision.

REPORT CARDS: Report cards are issued at the end of the session.

This right carries with it the basic responsibility of proper use and good care. Teachers and parents should help students carry out these obligations. All textbooks issued to students must be returned at the end of the session or when called for by the teacher. When a textbook is not returned by a student at the end of the summer session, or if a textbook is lost or damaged beyond use, the student must make payment at the original cost of the book.
