Recognition ::..
Students, teachers, administrators and other personnel garner national, regional and state recognition for outstanding accomplishments. Each year, St. Tammany students are awarded millions of scholarship dollars. Grants also totaling millions of dollars are brought into the System by parish educators.

- Grand Prize Magna Award presented by the American School Board Journal in 2010
- Money magazine named district 1 of the top 100 school systems within the Nation's major metropolitan areas
- 7 schools named National Schools of Excellence by the U. S. Department of Education
- 25 Schools Awarded the Healthier US School Challenge Program’s USDA Gold Award of Distinction for excellence in food service and nutrition
- School System Awarded Energy Milestone Award from SEE (Schools for Energy Efficiency) and an Energy Star-Leader Certificate from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- District Awarded SchoolMatch What Parents Want Award
- Highest award for financial reporting by Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) given to System for 23 consecutive years
- 14 teachers chosen for Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching by the National Science Foundation
- 13 students named national merit finalists in 2010
