Amplify Volunteers
Several Amplify Community Outreach volunteers assisted in several projects for AEECC


Terrific Breakfast
Terrific Kids Breakfast is celebrated monthly where students who show extraordinary qualities are celebrated. The Slidell Kiwanis Organization has partnered with Abney Elementary Early Childhood Center. Peter Cavignac, President, Mike Collins, Executive Board Member and Wanda Fabre, Vice President participate in the partnership.









Artwork Celebrates
AEECC celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday with a display of outstanding art work.








Power Bracelet


The activity is called "Go Glow Grow" Power Bracelet. During the activity, the students discuss nutrition, making healthy snack choices, and review the signs for Go, Glow, and Grow that were taught in the last class. The bracelet is made of Cheerios and can be used to learn patterns and counting.

Winter Holidays
AEECC rung in the winter holidays with lots of holiday activities including, winter crafts, Santa visit, holiday photographs with Santa, watching the Polar Express movie dressed in pajamas while drinking warm cocoa and eating a nugget cookie, taking a ride on the Polar Express Train and the traditional, holiday party. Several tens of parents volunteered throughout the month of December to assist in various areas.

Kindergarten PowWow
In recognition of the Thanksgiving Holidays, the Kindergarten classes celebrated with a POW WOW. Students dressed as Indians, ate trail mix and danced traditional Indian style.









Storybook Characters

They were able to
see our classroom and the work we've been doing,
